A new student-operated business learning lab at Westerville South High School, equipment to help build a hands-on computer science lab at Genoa Middle School and the relaunch of the MODEL Mentor program across the District’s middle schools are among the 17 proposals awarded a 2025 Fall Grant from the Westerville Education Foundation (WEF). 

Westerville City Schools’ Intra-District Open Enrollment (IDOE) program is available to families that reside and are enrolled full-time in Westerville City Schools. 

Fourth-graders at Pointview and Emerson elementaries explored wind energy thanks to a special lesson with high school students at Westerville Central and Westerville South this week.

Westerville students, staff and community members can now nominate District staff and adult volunteers for a Great Educator Mentor (GEM) Award, which is presented to individuals who go the extra mile to make a positive impact in the classroom and schools.

Audrey Lewis, a fifth-grade teacher at Minerva France Elementary; Katie Ensell, a third-grade teacher at Hawthorne Elementary; and Zach Gregory, a seventh-grade math teacher at Minerva Park Middle School, have been honored as the Westerville Education Foundation’s December Teachers of the Month.

Third-graders across the District’s elementaries came together in song for the Nations Together in Song concert on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights at Westerville Central High School.
